What is a 13 panel drug test?
The 13 panel drug test is a type of drug screening that tests for the presence of 13 different drugs in a person's system. These drugs include marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, methamphetamine, MDMA (ecstasy), barbiturates, benzodiazepines, PCP, methadone, propoxyphene, oxycodone, and buprenorphine.
Why would someone need to take a 13 panel drug test?
There are several reasons why someone might need to take a 13 panel drug test, including pre-employment screening, probation or parole requirements, workplace or school drug testing policies, and personal health reasons.
Can you drink water before a 13 panel urine drug test?
Yes, it's generally recommended to drink plenty of water before a 13 panel urine drug test in order to help flush any drugs out of your system. However, be careful not to overhydrate, as this can lead to diluted urine, which may require a re-test.
Can you fail a 13 panel urine drug test from secondhand smoke?
It's possible to test positive for drugs on a 13 panel urine test due to secondhand smoke exposure, but it's generally considered unlikely. The amount of drugs that can be absorbed through secondhand smoke is typically very small, and most testing facilities have measures in place to help differentiate between actual drug use and passive exposure
